As wedding shoots go, I have to admit that Dave and Bree’s Sunshine Coast elopement was the quickest I’ve ever photographed. Between the time I bounced in, took all these photos, and bounced out, only an hour had passed! There’s something so special about a small, intimate Sunshine Coast elopement. There is just something special about having only the couple’s closest friends and family there to celebrate with them.
And yet, even though I spent such a short period of time with Dave and Bree, their love was completely palpable. I left Dave and Bree’s gorgeous Sunshine Coast Elopement smiling from ear to ear. This beauty and her beau were friends for five years before they started dating. And, by the time they got married, they’d already known each other for 12. That’s the kind of love that stands the test of time. It’s the kind of love that says, “I know you inside out and we’ve been through a lot and I still choose to love you and stand by you forever.”

And what an amazing day it was! The sparkle off the ocean was nearly as bright as their smiles as they exchanged their I Do’s. They married at the incomparable Pointhouse Suites on Sargeant Bay in front of their friends and family (and fur baby!). The Pointhouse is a dream venue for an intimate wedding with its massive windows overlooking the bay and forest. The house is a marvel of modern architecture which enhances the beauty of the enclosed bay (which is a kayaker’s dream) and the surrounding forest. It gives a perfect illusion of being submerged in nature (even though shops and stores are close by). To add to the elegance of day, Melissa Tripp, owner of Coastal Events & Weddings worked some serious magic! And the decor for the Bride and Groom’s intimate dining experience with their wedding guests was spot on.
