I was super excited to be able to meet Tim & Yvonne and help them go on a quest for Banff adventure engagement photos! Yvonne and Tim both live in Canmore! Banff is super close and so incredibly breathtaking! You cannot help but have huge mountains in every photo! Both are adventurous souls and love kayaking, hiking, biking and their dog! And, I could tell, they were just a bit nervous but excited to have some professional Banff adventure engagement photos done to share with their friends and family.
Why I love adventure sessions with their adventure toys!
I love to include vehicles and their adventure toys into stories! For instance, their truck is super practical and was equipped with a super fast system for fastening their kayaks to the roof. It literally took a few minutes to get them in the water! Vehicles take us back in our memories when you see them! One of the reasons why a session like this tells so much about the couple. It shows who they are, and what they do!
After they kayaked around a bit a this gorgeous location, we headed for an open field. Pretty much anywhere in Banff National Park is scenic. You can literally pull over on the side of the road and find epic locations to showcase your adventure engagement photos! This spot in particular is known for the Elk that come and congregate here, you can see evidence of them where the bulls rub their horns on the tree bark in this area. They also have recently reintroduced bison! Wildlife is everywhere!
It was so wonderful to get to know Tim and Yvonne a little. He’s an Australian that fell in love with the area and the girl from Canmore, and she’s the long time local. They both are looking forward to more exploring and possibly settling down in a little town somewhere in BC.
